“I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” features lyrics penned by American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. His original poem titled “Christmas Bells” was written in 1864 in the midst of the American Civil War and much personal strife. Longfellow’s words of “peace on earth, goodwill to men” still ring true today as we strive to find peace in the midst of a chaotic world.

An Evergreen Christmas

Aspiring musician Evie Lee thought it would be a quick trip home: a funeral, a few well wishers, hang around for a couple days to help her grandfather and younger brother, then head back to Los Angeles. What she didn’t expect to find in tiny Balsam Falls, TN was an impending estate tax jeopardizing her childhood home and a large Christmas tree conglomerate with their sights on the family farm. Now, Evie must choose between two very different paths – go back to her “Hollywood” life and once again leave those who truly care about her or stay in Tennessee, face her fears, and rediscover her musical roots. With a hilarious cast of characters in tow, each day brings new adventures as she reconnects to country life and tries to make sense of a world that has been turned upside down.

Starring Charleene Closshey, Academy Award nominee Robert Loggia, Naomi Judd, Tyler Ritter, Greer Grammer
