Raziel's name means the secrets of God. In Jewish mysticism he brings light into darkness and writes the Book of Raziel, passed, as the story goes, from Adam to Enoch, to Noah and to King Solomon. The bowls were telling secrets before we even began.

Breathe at the heart and hold, in and out, until the heart relaxes. Drop a golden cord into the earth and let heaviness at the navel and stuck energy at the third eye drain away. Then fall into Raziel's frequencies. Climb the chakras with a golden ray at each center, from red and gold at the root to violet at the thousand-petal lotus, and for the first time in the series, rise to an eighth center above the head. Rest a palm there and look down through every chakra from above.

Sometimes we have to be very still in order to solve a mystery.

Lineage of Divine Illumination

Raziel is connected to the angel of mysteries. His name actually means the secrets of God. He's often depicted in artwork in a lot of different ways, but it always is talking about bringing light into darkness. He's that aspect of illumination, of helping us uncover some of these mysteries, these secrets, and it's that idea of lifting, illuminating us out of the confusion of darkness and to understanding more, connecting more, appreciating more of the Divine Essence. So he really is mentioned mostly in Jewish or rabbinic Kabbalah circles.

…

In fact, in Jewish mysticism, it's believed that he reveals the divine wisdom that the Torah contains. Pretty good guy to have around. People sometimes ask for his help to help hear messages from the Divine even more clearly, to gain greater insight or knowledge, deeper spiritual insights, just understanding much more esoteric information. A lot of times people will connect with Raziel as they're pursuing even more of the more esoteric arts: clairvoyance, alchemy of sorts, even divine magic. And it just depends on how and what resonate, but anytime you need revelation of secrets, Raziel is the one to connect to.

I thought this was really interesting: he's actually credited in rabbinic lore of writing a book called the Sefer Raziel HaMalakh, which basically means the Book of Raziel the Angel. [He] delivered that book directly from God, and he gave it to Adam, Adam and Eve, in the garden. And there was this whole big situation where the book was taken, and then some angel from the depths of the water had to come back and give it back to Adam, and it was quite the hubbub.

And then the book, it wound up going from Adam, it went to Enoch, who then became the Archangel Metatron. Then the book was passed on to Noah, and then finally into the hands of King Solomon. So it has this really interesting lineage of divine illumination. And if you look at [it] from a historical perspective, the idea of the essence of the creation of man, the origin of the Divine in man's connection, all the way into the magic with King Solomon, the mysticism, brilliance, and implementing that divine knowledge into everyday life.

And because of that, Raziel is the patron saint of lawyers, those who write laws, people who [are] elected to government, government representatives, and even those who enforce laws, like police officers and judges. Anyone who holds the truth of secrets is connected to Raziel. I thought that was all very interesting. So whether you take that as the gospel truth or as fascinating insight into how we got to where we are today, it matters not.

“They're secret for a reason. There's a sacredness to this greater knowledge.”
