An archangel meditation with 432 Hz crystal singing bowls
Session two belongs to Sandalphon, the angel of music. In the old stories, Sandalphon weaves the people's prayers into a garland for the King of Kings, and he loves to help musicians perform under pressure. (On air, I called him the "Mack Daddy of music." ...this session hardly needed me, lol.)
Witness your breath and notice where your body holds tension. Drop a golden cord from the base of your spine to the earth's core and release down it on every exhale. Then let the bowls play; most of this session is music, with only a few cues to hold the breath and soften the heart. Toward the end, draw a vibrant red ball of light into the root and climb through orange, yellow, green or rose gold, sky blue, midnight indigo and violet.
The bowls moved between melody and soft pads, full of sevenths and minor colors. I felt as if I were in two places at once, playing and receiving right alongside you.
Between Earth and the Divine
Let's talk a little bit about Archangel Sandalphon. So this Angel of Music, it's a beautiful conduit between Earth and the Divine, mostly, many think, because he started as a man. Many people believe he started as a prophet, Elijah. So his name actually means “co-brother,” and it refers to his status as a spiritual brother of Archangel Metatron, like we were talking about. So the ending of their names, “on,” it indicates that he ascended to his position as an angel after first living a human life.
A lot of people think, as Elijah, he was drawn to heaven in that horse-drawn chariot. In the old Hebrew language, there is a word that directly connects with chariot, and it connected to that “on” ending of his name as well. So that's kind of neat, specifically meaning “wheel.” There's a lot of mystery and thoughts around it in that one. I'll just leave that one there.
…
So in rabbinic lore, he's one of the great sarim, this is angel princes, and the twin brother, like I said, of Metatron, and he's thought to be the master of heavenly song, which makes sense. The bowls are now beginning to sing.
According to the liturgy of the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles, Sandalphon receives the prayers of the people here on Earth and then translates them. When they arrive to Heaven, he actually weaves them into a garland and presents it to the, quote, “King of Kings.”
Sacred texts all agree that Sandalphon rules over a heaven, but they don't agree which heaven he rules over. So the ancient Jewish and Christian non-canonical Book of Enoch says that Sandalphon rules over the third heaven. The Islamic texts say that he rules over the fourth heaven. And the Zohar, it's a sacred text of the Kabbalah, it says that he presides over the seventh heaven, right at the exit from the spheres, basically the celestial spheres here. The seven heavens that we think about, he rules right at that exit before you get into the Tree of Life.
[He's] said to join Archangel Mikhail's angelic armies to fight Samael. Samael, the name actually means “the poison angel.” Perhaps it's Satan.
…
So Sandalphon helps Michael do what they do against the poison angel and his evil forces in the spiritual realm. He's also thought to be a leader among the seraphim classes of angels, and the seraphims are the ones who surround God's throne. In astrology, Sandalphon is the angel in charge of the Earth. That makes sense. He was here, he walked on it. He gets us.
Kabbalists believe that Sandalphon helped differentiate the gender of an embryo, or the child in utero, which I think is very fascinating, this idea that he helps to differentiate what life experience we might show up in and experience right now in this life. Kind of cool.
It's said Sandalphon will assist you with issues of support, patience, financial success, even embracing your individuality. It's probably because it really grounds us into that Earth plane, centering us into this here and now. Nice. It's also said that he'll help with issues related to your base chakra, so that place that we ground. Sandalphon will help us with that.
“Creativity happens in every element of life, even things that we perceive as mundane or not creative. If there is an expansion, that is creativity.”
