Myth & LegendMythic guided visualizations & hero's journey meditations
Live mythic guided meditations with crystal singing bowls tuned to 432 Hz. Walk through the Lion's Gate, into the mists of Avalon, and across an emerald land of the Fae.
“Wisdom isn't something you've learned. It's something you have become.”
Myths are the oldest maps we have of the inner world. Long before anyone measured a heartbeat, people told stories about thresholds, guardians and the light hidden at the center of things, and those stories still work on us. A great myth is like a great melody: you know it the moment you hear it, even the first time.
These are the sessions where the bowls tell a story. Walk through a gate into an emerald land where the winds carry the secrets of the Fae, and find yourself standing in a patch of four-leaf clovers. On the Lion’s Gate, rest your gaze on the still center of a turning kaleidoscope and feel your heartbeat keep time with a ray of golden light. Cross into The Mists of Avalon, hold The Sun Stone, meet The Rising Dragon at the spring equinox, and follow The Midnight Star on Christmas Eve.
(The Lion’s Gate Portal is still the most-watched session on the channel. It was also my first live after a break, and Jeremy made the kaleidoscope “a little more space age” for the occasion.)
I tell these stories with an open mind. Some people come for the history, some for the astrology, some for the magic, and all of them belong here. Choose the framework that speaks to your heart. We certainly don’t all see the world through the same lenses, and that’s ok. We’re all in this life together.
Settle in for a longer journey. Let the images arrive in their own time, and bring back whatever you find.

About these mythic journeys
What is the hero's journey, and how does it show up in these meditations?
The hero's journey is the pattern the modern mythologist Joseph Campbell traced through the world's myths in The Hero with a Thousand Faces (1949). He called this familiar hero's story the monomyth: a call to adventure, a refusal, a mentor, a threshold crossed, ordeals and allies, a reward, and a return home changed, carrying something for others. Campbell drew on the psychologist Carl Jung, who saw recurring figures such as the hero, the wise elder and the shadow as archetypes rising from a collective unconscious that all people share. (Filmmaker George Lucas credited Campbell as an influence on Star Wars: a farm boy hears the call, finds his mentor in Obi-Wan Kenobi, crosses into a larger world, meets his shadow in his own father, and comes home changed.) Charleene sees this same hero's pattern moving through everyday life: a move, a loss, a new calling, a creative risk. We rarely notice our days unfolding as myth, yet they do. In The Sun Stone, she describes the bowls' combined tones as "a narrative journey into your own hero's journey." Ask where you stand in the cycle right now, at the threshold, in the ordeal or on the road home, and a hard season starts to read as a chapter with meaning.
What is the Lion's Gate portal?
A season around August 8, when the sun is in Leo and Sirius becomes visible again in the early morning sky. In ancient Egypt, Sirius's return was linked to the new year and the Nile's annual flood. In her Lion's Gate sessions, Charleene offers the astronomical, astrological and mythic readings side by side and invites you to choose the one that speaks to you.
Are these sessions religious?
These sessions draw on many traditions (Celtic, Egyptian, Arthurian, Christian, Vedic) and treat them as shared human stories, offered with respect. Take what speaks to you and leave the rest.
Which session should I start with?
Start where most listeners have: Lion's Gate Portal (2023). For a St. Patrick's Day journey through Ireland's mythic landscape, choose Luck, Charm & Intuition (2024). For a three-part journey, begin The Spring Equinox Trilogy with The Sun Stone (2026).
How long are the journeys?
Most run 60 to 90 minutes, with a short talk before the journey and a reflection after. Use the chapters on each replay to go straight to the guided journey.
