About these sessions

“For this is the quiet secret of real abundance: a full vessel doesn't hoard, it overflows.”

The Abundance Portal · June 2026

Most of us were taught to earn our way to “being enough.” These sessions are birthed from an alternative framework: although it’s easy to forget, you were born worthy of good things, and abundance is the art of receiving what is already on its way. These sessions remind us to connect with every miracle that is already ours.

Good things are already here and more continue to come. The question I pose is, “do you have room to hold your miracles when they arrive?” The answer can be quite surprising.

In The Abundance Portal, step up to a window that stands for how you value yourself and wipe the fogged glass clean. Thank the old guard who kept you safe, and let it soften. In Embody Your Worth, follow your heart’s compass across an inner landscape to a buried dig site and brush the sand away with your breath: other people’s measures of value, inherited fears of scarcity, the fine gray dust of old self-judgments. Underneath waits a treasure, a diamond, a golden sphere or an overflowing chalice. Nothing can earn it and nothing can take it.

We keep coming back to one vital distinction: what’s the difference between self-esteem and self-worth? Self-esteem rises and falls with praise. Self-worth is a sacred birthright you hold simply by existing.

The five-part Tune Into Wealth series carries this work through one spring equinox (a perfect time to feel into life’s miracles and rebirth), from the Golden Dragon to Expand Your Prosperity Current.

Leave each session with something small to practice. When something good lands, pause, bring a hand to your heart, and let it softly move in your body for ten to fifteen seconds. Embody the truth that you are enough. Being enough opens the doorway to our most divinely inspired, abundant life.

About abundance meditations

What is an abundance meditation?

A guided practice for receiving: noticing what you already have, softening the habits that push good things away, and remembering your own worth. Charleene pairs that practice with music improvised on crystal singing bowls. It is about inner capacity, not financial advice.

What is the difference between self-esteem and self-worth?

As Charleene teaches it in Embody Your Worth, self-esteem is conditional and rises and falls with external praise. Self-worth is unconditional; it's a value you hold simply by existing, which can't be earned nor taken away.

Does sound affect the brain's reward system? What does the research say?

Music reaches the same reward chemistry as food, touch and other pleasures, and the evidence here is strong. At McGill University, Salimpoor and colleagues (Nature Neuroscience, 2011) used PET scans to show the brain releasing dopamine while people listened to music they loved: in the caudate as the music built anticipation, and in the nucleus accumbens at the peak moment of chills. In 2019, a team led by Laura Ferreri (PNAS) tested cause and effect with 27 volunteers: a drug that raised dopamine made music more pleasurable and more motivating, and a drug that blocked it did the opposite. Pleasure also runs on the body's own opioids. When McGill researchers (Mallik, Chanda and Levitin, Scientific Reports, 2017) blocked them with naltrexone, listeners' favorite songs felt far less pleasurable. Calm comes from a related line of research. A review of 104 randomized trials with 9,617 people (de Witte et al., Health Psychology Review, 2020) found that music interventions lowered stress, with a moderate effect on how stressed people felt and a smaller effect on heart rate, blood pressure and stress hormones. These studies used recorded music, mostly chosen by or for the listeners, so read them as the backdrop for crystal singing bowls rather than proof about the bowls themselves.

Is there a specific frequency for wealth or abundance?

Not one that research supports. Videos promising a “money frequency” or a wealth tone in hertz, such as 888 Hz, draw on numerology and internet lore, and no published study shows a particular pitch bringing money or prosperity to a listener. What research does show is that music can lower stress and engage the brain’s reward system, and those effects depend on the listener and the experience more than on any single number. Charleene plays a chromatic set of crystal bowls, all twelve notes, and lets each session find its own keys. The abundance work lives in how you receive.

Do affirmations actually work?

Some do, and the research points to which kind. In a 2016 brain-imaging study (Cascio et al., Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience), reflecting on core values, especially how they could guide the future, engaged regions tied to self-related thinking and reward: the ventromedial prefrontal cortex and the ventral striatum. A small 2020 follow-up (Dutcher et al., same journal) found that affirming values before a stressful, judged task lowered self-reported stress and improved performance. Generic praise is another story. In a 2009 study (Wood, Perunovic and Lee, Psychological Science), repeating "I'm a lovable person" left people with low self-esteem feeling worse, and lifted people with high self-esteem only slightly. The working lesson: an affirmation lands when it names something you already value or can feel as true. That is why these sessions ask you to feel your worth in the body even before you say it.
